Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the details of the prisoner exchange deal between Moscow and Kyiv.

As previously reported, the agreement was reached through foreign mediation, in particular, from Saudi Arabia.

Erdogan stressed that Ankara also "insisted" on the exchange. As a result, 200 prisoners of war arrived on its territory, and they were exchanged. Among them is the pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who was detained in Ukraine for several months.

According to the Turkish leader, this politician is already in Russia.

He added that Turkey is resolutely determined to continue the initiated process.
