More than 230 cases of coronavirus detected at the Olympics

Among the Olympic participants who arrived in Beijing from January 23 to February 1, 232 cases of coronavirus infection were detected, according to the official website of the organizing committee.

Athletes and team officials have 76 cases of infection, another 156 positive tests were passed by other persons involved in the Olympics.

On February 1, three national team members who had just arrived in China were diagnosed with coronavirus, and six more cases were among those who were already in the “closed circuit” (“bubble”).

A total of 9,866 people have arrived in Beijing since January 23, including 4,193 athletes and team representatives.
