It is noted that military personnel from the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and the United States took part in the previous Strong Cohesion 2022 exercise, which aimed to test the functionality of the battle group and its ability to work together under a single command. At the end of the exercise, a group of representatives from each participating country announced the readiness of the NATO combat tactical group in Slovakia to proceed with their assigned tasks.

“These steps significantly strengthen NATO's deterrence and its ability to defend itself against any aggression in the eastern part of the Alliance,” NATO said in a statement.

Recall that after the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine in the countries of Eastern and Central Europe, they decided to strengthen the military presence of NATO units. In this regard, it was decided to create four new multinational battle groups in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
