Peskov said that there is no specific timeframe for the start of negotiations between Moscow and Washington

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that at the moment there is no approximate date for the start of negotiations between Moscow and Washington on security guarantees. The Kremlin spokesman said this during a daily briefing with reporters.

“Of course, it’s impossible to name clear terms here. The main thing is that it does not turn into a negotiation marathon, ”Peskov emphasized.

According to him, now there is no point in naming any dates.

“The fact of delaying negotiations or the fact that the negotiations are aimed at a specific result is becoming quite obvious,” added the spokesman for the Russian head of state.

Peskov believes that “specialists have their own understanding” regarding the approval processes.

Earlier it became known that the State Department called some of the RF proposals on security guarantees unacceptable.

On December 17, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the draft agreements between Russia and the United States on security guarantees and an agreement on security measures for the Russian Federation and NATO member states, which were transferred to the United States on December 15.
