CSTO Secretary General to visit Yerevan to discuss Armenian priorities for the development of the military bloc

Within the framework of the trip to Yerevan, it is planned to meet the administrative head of the military bloc with the current chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The CSTO Secretary General will submit to him for approval the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the decisions of the September (2021) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the implementation of the priority directions of the organization's activities during the presidency of Armenia.

Stanislav Zas is also expected to hold talks with Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan.

The Collective Rapid Reaction Force (CRRF) of the CSTO should be re-equipped with modern technology, including unmanned aerial vehicles. As bbabo.net reported, on September 16, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made such a proposal at the CSTO summit in Dushanbe. According to the results of the summit in the Tajik capital, Yerevan took the place of the chairman of the organization for the next year, and the initiatives announced by the Armenian leader at that time fit into the priorities of the Transcaucasian republic in developing the potential of the military bloc.
