Prime Minister of Moldova: Ukraine will be hit again in the next two days, and we will be without electricity

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Moldova should be ready for another blackout. Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu warned about this today, November 29, in his Telegram channel.

According to him, in the next two days there will be “possible massive Russian missile attacks on Ukraine”, which will lead to an emergency power outage in the Republic of Moldova.

“In the event of such a situation, all public services are ready to intervene and restore power supply within a limited time frame. We are ready and careful,” the Minister of Regional Development wrote.

The government recommends that citizens stock up on water and food, charge the batteries of electrical appliances in advance and stock up on candles.

Now Moldova has completely switched to the consumption of electricity from Romania, refusing to buy cheaper electricity from the Russian enterprise Moldavskaya GRES located in Transnistria. At the same time, Chisinau cannot be powered directly from the European power grid and is forced to interact with Kyiv. The power systems of Moldova and Ukraine are interconnected, and automatic shutdowns occur in them to protect the power grids from overload. This could also be avoided by maintaining the contract with MoldGRES, but for this it will be necessary to send an additional amount of gas to the Left Bank. The Moldovan authorities have returned to discussing this issue, against the backdrop of a shortage of Romanian electricity, which is four times more expensive than Inter RAO.

As bbabo.net reported, on November 15 and 23, Moldova was already left without electricity for several hours. At a meeting of the Supreme Security Council, the President of the Republic, Maia Sandu, stated that as long as the energy infrastructure of Ukraine is the object of military attacks, massive power outages in the Republic of Moldova will be repeated.
