Sobyanin made an annual report to the Moscow City Duma deputies

Russia (bbabo.net) - Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin delivered an annual report on the work of the city government to the Moscow City Duma deputies - this traditionally happens at the end of December.

The head of the city spoke about the work in the current year and plans for 2022. He touched upon the construction of transport infrastructure, including the metro and the MCD, and the development of the road network. For example, the mayor called the completion of the Big Circle Line construction the most important task for metro builders, after which they will focus on the development of radial lines.

Sobyanin also touched upon the topics of renovation and beautification, the introduction of new healthcare facilities, and the restoration of monuments. The mayor recalled that over the past ten years, more than 1,700 architectural monuments have been restored.

The mayor also focused on the fight against the pandemic - he thanked the doctors and all health workers who have been fighting the coronavirus for almost two years. According to him, they saved the life and health of two million townspeople, who had had the infection and were discharged. "The healthcare system has proven its ability to long-term resistance to the pandemic," Sobyanin stressed.
