In Crimea, they said that the peninsula has adapted to live in the sanctions grip of the West

The head of the Crimean public chamber, Alexander Formanchuk, said that the peninsula has adapted to live in the sanctions grip of Western countries, RIA Novosti reports.

He also noted that this territory was integrated into the large Russian state space.

“Many problems (on the Crimean peninsula -) are being solved with the help and support of the federal center. The sanctions only prevent Crimea from fully integrating into the world space, including limiting the freedom of movement of Crimeans when traveling to Western countries and participation in international platforms, ”continued Formanchuk.

According to him, Crimea was only a pretext for introducing restrictive measures, which should be viewed as an attempt by Western states to prevent the revival of Russia as an independent player in the international arena.

“The West has long disliked the independence and independence with which (Russian President Vladimir -) Putin revived the Russian state. Therefore, Crimea was used there as a trigger for the war of sanctions against Russia, ”added Formanchuk.

Earlier, Putin said during a big press conference that the West, introducing new sanctions against Crimea, "wanted to spit on Crimeans and democracy."

In March 2014, a referendum was held in Crimea, as a result of which the peninsula became a territorial part of Russia, and Sevastopol became a city of federal significance.
