Russia (bbabo.net), - From December 27 to January 2, the introduction of QR codes in public catering establishments, as well as in non-food retail, has been postponed in the northern capital. This is already the second transfer of a landmark decision for the city, initially the codes in these directions were planned to be introduced from December 1.

Now in St. Petersburg QR codes or "fresh" negative PCR tests must be presented when entering theaters, museums and cinemas. They will not be allowed to attend congresses, conferences without antique documents; they are also needed in fitness clubs.

But the introduction of codes in public catering and non-food retail promises to be the most painful for the city. The contribution of cafes and restaurants to the economy of St. Petersburg is very significant, tens of thousands of people work in public catering, and, to be honest, the life of many townspeople is "tied" to canteens. Last year, according to Petrostat, the turnover of cafes and restaurants amounted to 65.5 billion rubles, and this is considered a low figure. And the turnover of non-food trade exceeded 800 billion.

Previously, both restaurateurs and owners of shopping centers have repeatedly appealed to the city authorities - they asked to postpone the introduction of unpopular measures. This means that there is an opportunity to organize festive events. The program is formed at an accelerated pace. Usually, parties in cafes and restaurants began to be announced from mid-November, but now there is a week left for the entire preparation.

And one more surprise for small business from the city - transport will not stop working on New Year's Eve, although it was planned that the metro would close at midnight, then trolleybuses, buses and trams would leave for the depot.
