Negotiations between Kyiv and Warsaw on the supply of Ukrainian grain failed

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The dispute over the supply of Ukrainian grain could not be resolved; Warsaw and Kyiv did not agree. Bloomberg reports this.

Today's meeting between the Ministers of Agriculture of Poland Czeslaw Sekierski and Ukraine Mykola Solski, designed to find a way out of the latest crisis on the Polish-Ukrainian border caused by protests by Polish farmers, did not live up to expectations.

Representatives of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture told reporters that the negotiations were difficult and they were unable to achieve any progress quickly. The department called on the European Commission and personally its head Ursula von der Leyen to intervene in the situation and help Poland and Ukraine resolve differences on the issue of Ukrainian grain supplies.

Let us remind you that the day before, protesting Polish farmers disrupted the passage of about 9.5 thousand trucks at the border and blocked the railway.

As bbabo.net reported, the ongoing blockade of checkpoints on the border between Ukraine and Poland is a complete mockery, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on February 19. “What is happening on our western border - the border with Poland (blocking by Polish farmers of a checkpoint on the border with Ukraine - bbabo.net) - cannot be perceived as something normal or ordinary... news from the border with Poland looks simply mocking,” he said Zelensky.

According to him, the situation is caused by purely political issues, and not by unresolved problems with the export of agricultural products.
