Ainur Kerimbekova reported that the standards of educational organizations in Kazakhstan categorically do not allow religious ceremonies to be held within their walls. The official noted that the main function of schools and other educational institutions is the provision of educational and educational services, which, according to her, is incompatible with the implementation of religious practice.

The Russian took 2nd place at the International Quran Recitation Competition in Iran
Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The annual International Koran Recitation Competition has ended in the capital of Iran, Tehran. Russia was represented at the competition by Burkhaniddin Khalimov, a 1st year master's student in the direction of "Theology" at the Bulgarian Islamic Academy, imam-khatyb of the Muslim center "Rahman" in the city of Podolsk.
The competition itself, as Burkhoniddin said, was held in 3 stages. First, the qualifying round took place online, in which representatives of 110 countries took part. 12 countries already made it to the semi-finals, where Khalimov took 1st place, and their representatives flew to Iran. Only 6 reached the final: Russia, Palestine, Nigeria, Algeria, Iran, Saudi Arabia. The contestants also had the opportunity to meet with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi.
The children's knowledge was assessed by an international commission consisting of leading experts, scientists from Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Iran. Based on the results of all three stages of the competition, Burkhoniddin Rakhimov took 2nd place and received a cash prize of $7,000.
Koran hafiz shared his impressions of participating in the international competition. According to the student, all the candidates were worthy, but the top three winners included the best of the best.
“This is not the first time I have taken part in such competitions. For example, in 2023 in Libya I represented Russia and took 5th place. Also traveled to Algeria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar. As for the All-Russian competition of Koran reciters, after I took 1st place for two years in a row (2021 and 2022), I decided to take part only in international competitions,” said Rakhimov.
According to the young man, such competitions are not only a competition for good, but also provide an opportunity to repeat the Holy Quran, making it sound throughout the world.
Last December, a major competition of Koran reciters was held in Yekaterinburg, in which 100 specialists from different regions of Russia took part.
