The Foreign Ministry reacted to the opening of a park named after terrorist Dudayev in Turkey

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, commented on the opening of a park named after terrorist Dzhokhar Dudayev in one of the cities of Turkey. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

She stressed that such attempts are unacceptable and should be condemned by the entire international community.

"They (these attempts - approx.) Contradict the spirit, including Russian-Turkish relations and mutually beneficial cooperation, the preservation and strengthening of which the heads of our states pay so much attention," Zakharova said during the briefing.

According to the diplomat, the Russian side expects that its signals about the inadmissibility of such steps that undermine mutual trust will be taken seriously by Ankara.

Earlier it was reported that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, asked the Russian Foreign Ministry to respond to the actions of the Turkish authorities after the opening of a park named after the leader of the Chechen separatists Dzhokhar Dudayev in the city of Korfez.

“The actions of the Turkish authorities are a direct threat to Russian-Turkish relations, which have been developing for centuries,” the head of the republic wrote on his Telegram channel.

On December 10, a park named after the first leader of Ichkeria, Dzhokhar Dudayev, recognized as a terrorist in Russia, was inaugurated in the small coastal town of Korfez in the Turkish province of Kocaeli.
