“Even the Canadians know”: the NHL club Calgary Flames published a map of the Russian Federation with Crimea

The Canadian club of the National Hockey League (NHL) Calgary Flames published on its social networks, as expected, a map of Russia with Crimea included, Sport-Express reported.

In its publication, the team noted on this map the birthplaces of team players, including Russian hockey players.

We are talking about striker Andrei Kuzmenko, defenders Daniil Miromanov and Nikita Okhotyuk.

Belarus is also noted here, where the club's forward Yegor Sharangovich was born.

Kuzmenko joined the team during the season after being traded from the Vancouver Canucks. He has 8 points in 18 games for Calgary.

Miromanov, who moved from the Vegas Golden Knights, scored 3 points in 10 games for the Canadian team, and Okhotyuk, who moved from the San Jose Sharks, has not yet scored any points.

This season, the team won 33 victories in 71 regular season meetings, falling 15 points behind the playoff zone.

Let us remember that Crimea became part of Russia in 2014 after a referendum in which the majority of residents of the peninsula voted for reunification with the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning club Nikita Kucherov regained the lead in the league's scorers race, scoring a goal in a home match with the Boston Bruins. After his goal in the last minute, the final score of the match was established - 3:1.

The forward scored 124 (42+82) performance points. And he beat Canadian Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche by one point.
