Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The Border Department of Belarus is in full control of the developing situation on the Belarusian section of the external border of the CIS. This was stated today, March 29, by the Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic, Konstantin Molostov, speaking at a regional meeting of the heads of border agencies of the CIS member states.

According to him, the Baltic countries and Poland continue to build up the NATO military force and conduct exercises near our borders. He also recalled that at the same time, neighboring states are seeking to economically isolate Belarus by closing most checkpoints and ignoring agreements on the number of vehicles accepted on functioning international routes.

Speaking about the situation on the southern borders, the head of the Belarusian border department noted that the situation on the border with Ukraine remains difficult. The Ukrainian side continues to involve various armed and volunteer formations in border security, which significantly increases the risk of them committing provocations on the Belarusian-Ukrainian section of the border.

At the same time, Molostov stated that the border department of Belarus is in full control of the developing situation on the Belarusian section of the external border of the CIS member states.

Let us recall that the 8th regional meeting of the heads of border agencies of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Khiva (Republic of Uzbekistan). The event participants summarized that the dynamic transformation of the geopolitical situation and international relations have a significant impact on the state of border security in Central Asia and other regions. In this regard, border agencies will continue to consolidate efforts for the high-quality implementation of cooperation programs of CIS member states in strengthening border security at external borders and combating terrorism and extremism.
