Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The Czech Republic is ready to participate in Germany’s initiative to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense, but as a mediator. This was announced today, April 18, after negotiations with the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren, by the head of the Czech Ministry of Defense, Jana Cernochová.

According to her, it is necessary to understand what form of cooperation will be most acceptable for the Czech Republic.

“If this is the same form of cooperation as in the case of the ammunition initiative, we are ready to become a mediating country again,” she said and added that the Czech Republic has already proven to the world that it has contacts and knows how to search and find the military equipment needed to help Ukraine.

Let us remind you that today Berlin called on the European Union and member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense as quickly as possible. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock addressed the request to third countries besides the EU and NATO, and want the initiative to be discussed at the next meeting of G7 foreign ministers.
