Russia - The doctor called alcohol, from which cholesterol rises especially quickly

Russia (bbabo.net), - Seeing skyrocketing cholesterol levels in a blood test, few associate such results with alcohol consumption. Psychiatrist and narcologist Yevgeny Rysin explained how alcohol actually affects blood cholesterol levels. The doctor emphasized that the use of any amount of alcohol is "always an entry into the zone of a certain medical risk." At the same time, as serious large-scale studies have shown, doctors have revealed a clear relationship between alcohol and an increase in the level of "bad" cholesterol.

“The liver plays a key role in cholesterol metabolism in the human body. Well, everyone knows that it is the target organ for alcohol, taking on the burden of its neutralization,” said Evgeny Rysin in an interview with Doctor Peter, specifying that "alcohol damage to the liver leads to a violation of cholesterol metabolism."

In terms of violations of cholesterol metabolism in the body, all alcoholic beverages are harmful. But there is also a leader on the list. According to the expert, "beer is clearly recognized as the leader in terms of damage caused."

"Avoiding hypocritical exhortations, I remind you that any drinking is an entry into the risk zone," the doctor emphasized once again.

Earlier, a cardiologist, candidate of medical sciences Anna Korenevich also singled out beer in terms of harmful effects on the body. Beer foam contains cobalt, the excess of which overloads the heart and blood vessels. In addition, a "light" foamy drink saturates the blood with carbon dioxide, which provokes varicose veins, the doctor explained.
