Asia (bbabo.net), - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev in Astana. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

During the meeting, Tokayev noted that the multifaceted ties between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are developing very dynamically. A clear confirmation of this, according to him, is a significant increase in the volume of mutual trade turnover.

“We look with great interest at the prospects for our interaction and cooperation. We have the warmest relations with your republic, the Yakut people, we have a lot in common. I would like to especially note that you are accompanied by a large delegation consisting of representatives of the business world and art,” said the President of Kazakhstan.

He welcomed the holding of the Days of the Sakha Republic in Kazakhstan, which included cultural and sporting events, as well as a presentation of the investment and tourism potential of Yakutia.

In turn, Aisen Nikolaev thanked Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and noted the significantly increased dynamics of interaction between the Republic of Sakha and Kazakhstan. He also expressed words of support to the people of Kazakhstan and wished them to quickly overcome all the difficulties that arose as a result of the floods.

“We arrived in Kazakhstan with the goal of holding the Days of the Republic of Sakha. A large number of business, cultural and sporting events are planned in Astana and Almaty,” said the head of the Russian region.

It is reported that during the meeting, promising areas of cooperation in such areas as agriculture, mining, digitalization and tourism were discussed. It was emphasized that Kazakhstan and Russia attach great importance to the comprehensive development of interregional cooperation.
