Russia (bbabo.net), - Residents of Yakutsk created a six-by-eight-meter New Year ice card on Lake Talom and launched the All-Russian good campaign "Miracle on Ice". On Saturday, December 25, six Russian regions will join it.

Yakutsk took part in the action for the first time. About 50 people were engaged in "painting" on the ice of the Thawed Lake, who were not stopped by either 50-degree frost or dense fog. On a 48-meter postcard, the Yakuts depicted the mythical Bull of Cold, which comes out of the Arctic Ocean for seven long months, when winter reigns in the republic.

"In different parts of Russia, everyone will go out on the ice to create postcards, wish people a Happy New Year and once again remind that everyone can perform miracles. I want to thank the Yakut people who took part in such a wonderful action and, despite the 50-degree frost , gave others a feeling of holiday and New Year's magic ", - said the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev.

The action "Miracle on Ice" arose last year in the Amur Region, where residents of cities and villages "painted" more than 100 ice postcards in memory of Valery Melnikov, an amateur ice artist from the village of Markovo. A lonely deaf pensioner pleased his fellow countrymen every year with his huge touching New Year's "canvases" on the ice of the Khomutina river.

Last year, grandfather Valery passed away, but the tradition he invented was continued by hundreds of people not only in the Amur region, but also in other regions of the country. In 2021, it was also supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.

At the homeland of the action in the Amur Region, residents of cities and villages have already drawn 15 ice postcards - large-scale and miniature.

Postcards on ice will appear in Moscow in the Losiny Ostrov national park, on the right side of the Ob River in Novosibirsk, at the Europe-Asia bridge across the Urals in Orenburg, in Yekaterinburg on the Iset River embankment, and in Omsk at the bridge over Om.
