Ukrainian women will undergo military training at will, said the Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny.

"Firstly, we are not talking about the conscription or mandatory mobilization of women into the army, as some media have already stated. Secondly, we are preparing such a procedure for registration with military registration, which would make it possible to implement remotely and online maximum procedures ... We also plan to introduce a transitional norm concerning the fees (exercises) of those liable for military service, namely: women will go to training exclusively at will, "Zaluzhny wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, military registration will not change the lives of women. This will only allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to know which specialists can, in a pinch, join the country's defense.

"This is also a step towards women wishing to do military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Zaluzhny said.

Earlier, an order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine came into force, according to which working representatives of a number of industries and professions must register for military service. The list, approved by the document, consists of 35 professional areas, each of which includes dozens of separate specialties of economic activity. In total, the order affects hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian women.
