Chinese footballers banned from tattoos

The Chinese Ministry of Sports no longer allows national football players to get tattoos on their bodies, and those who already have tattoos have been asked to get rid of them. If for some reason this cannot be done, the player will have to figure out how to hide the tattoo during training and in games.

Chinese officials are confident that tattoos are "not patriotic and vulgar." They have no place on the bodies of those who represent their country in football matches.

In China, they are traditionally quite skeptical about tattoos, although the younger generation is trying to overcome the conservatism of society. The most daring are already joking on social media that soon football "will only be played by members of the Chinese Communist Party."
