The press service of the Russian Guard reported that daily divers of the departmental Severobaikalsk naval training detachment perform service and combat missions in various conditions, regardless of the visibility range and water temperature. Quite often, departmental combat swimmers make ice descents, perform a splashdown with a parachute.

Recall that divers and naval specialists of various specialties from military units and divisions of the Russian Guard from all over the country are trained at the detachment's unique training base. In 2021, 400 specialists were trained in the detachment.

The naval detachment of the Russian Guard reliably ensures the safety of the water area of ​​Lake Baikal. The department's sailors are involved in the implementation of tasks to preserve the most valuable aquatic biological resources, as well as to curb poaching as part of the interdepartmental preventive measures "Putin" and "Spawn".

The head of the department, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov, addressed the servicemen and employees of the Russian Guard, who will celebrate the New Year when performing official tasks. The director of the Russian Guard assured that the armored "Tigers" of the National Guard troops, like the symbol of the coming year, will always stand guard over the Fatherland. He stressed that, despite the holiday, from Kaliningrad to Chukotka, servicemen and employees of the department are keeping an uneasy watch, keeping nuclear and chemical facilities under reliable protection, protecting the peace of fellow citizens in settlements, performing important tasks in the fight against terrorism and crime.
