Kazakhstan is investigating the case against 180 sellers of liquefied gas

The Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition (AZRK) of Kazakhstan has launched an investigation into 180 retailers of LPG.

"As of January 7, 85 sellers in the Mangistau region, 14 in the Karaganda region, 22 in the Atyrau region, 22 in the Akmola region, 12 in the Kyzylorda region, as well as in other regions, were in sight," the ministry said in a statement.

In all regions, antitrust investigations were initiated on the basis of collusion in establishing and maintaining prices for liquefied petroleum gas.

Earlier it was reported that in the actions of six large sellers of liquefied gas in Kazakhstan, the authorities revealed signs of price collusion. These companies include KazMunayGas, Kazgermunai, CNPC-Aktobemunaigaz and Kazakhoil, TASS reports.

Now in Kazakhstan there is a state of emergency. In accordance with the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the government has limited fuel prices for 180 days.
