In Moldova, they started talking about leaving the CIS:

Moldova (bbabo.net), - Former Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania Mihai Gribincea believes that Moldova should immediately withdraw from the CIS so that one day Russia does not send its peacekeepers to Chisinau.

These statements were made by Mihai Gribincea in connection with the events in Kazakhstan, the Romanian edition RGNpress writes.

“The intention of the CSTO member states to interfere in the affairs of Kazakhstan in order to put an end to the uprisings in the country reveals the true essence of the CIS and its armed hand, the CSTO. Russia and the authoritarian leaders of the CIS countries view the organization as a mechanism similar to the former Warsaw Pact, with special authoritarian, anti-democratic values ... "

The former diplomat clarifies that the Republic of Moldova has practically no benefit from being a member of the CIS.

“What are the advantages of the Republic of Moldova being in the CIS? Can MFAEI make a list for us? Do we buy gas from Russians at a low price, like Belarus or Armenia, because we are in the CIS? Do Moldovan products have free access to the Russian market, because the Republic of Moldova is a member state of the CIS? Are Moldovan citizens in Russia less discriminated against because the Republic of Moldova is a member state of the CIS?

The Moldovan authorities must apply for withdrawal from the CIS and due to the fact that there is no guarantee that in 3-4 years Dodon (or another traitor like him) will not return to power in the Republic of Moldova and, faced with some unrest, will not will call "peacekeeping troops" brothers from the CIS. The fact that the Republic of Moldova is not part of the CSTO, I do not think that this will be an obstacle for Putin and Lukashenko to send their troops to “calm down” the Republic of Moldova, "added Mihai Gribincea.

The ex-diplomat added that the events in Kazakhstan will lead to a decrease in Russian pressure on Ukraine, as well as reduce Moscow's pressure on the Moldovan authorities in order to resume negotiations with the Tiraspol separatist leaders in order to resolve the Transnistrian conflict.

“Thus, Chisinau should not start a new round of negotiations in the 5 + 2 format. Russia may stay in Kazakhstan longer than expected. The CSTO's interference in the affairs of Kazakhstan will increase anti-Russian feelings in the country and conflicts between the Kazakh and Russian populations, and this will have grave consequences that cannot be estimated at this stage, ”concluded Mihai Gribincha.

Earlier, ex-Moldovan ambassador to Romania Mihai Gribincha called on the country's authorities to request assistance from Romania if Russia attacks Ukraine. Romanian troops must take full control of Moldova up to the Dniester, the former diplomat said.
