Xiaomi 12 Ultra will receive a super-telephoto periscope lens and the same sensors as last year's Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

A verified online insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station has published the latest information on the Xiaomi 12 Ultra smartphone, which is due to be presented earlier this year.

According to a well-known informant, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will not offer any improvement over its predecessor when it comes to the image sensors of the main camera. The new flagship will use image sensors with a resolution of 50, 48 and 48 megapixels, as in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

In addition, he also reports the use of a "periscope super telephoto", but it is not yet clear whether the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will get the same 5x zoom as its predecessor, or will offer more modern capabilities, which would be logical.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.6-inch 2K display with high refresh rate support and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and will be equipped with 120W fast charging support.

Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of the Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
