As it became known, the new smartphone of the Black Shark 5 series has been certified by the Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the People's Republic of China, where it received the model number KTUS-A0. The characteristics of the device were also published.

The Black Shark 5 will feature a 1080p+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. The exact screen size of the device is not reported.

The new phone will be based on the Snapdragon 888 Plus single-chip system and equipped with a 4600 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging.

Also in the lineup will be the Black Shark 5 Pro, which will reportedly feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will act as a single-chip system, the phone will be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery that will support 120 W fast charging.

Both devices are expected to run Android 12 operating system with JOYUI skin. The characteristics of the cameras have not yet been reported.

Presumably, the Black Shark 5 series will be presented in March 2022. Recently it became known that Tencent Group is acquiring the Black Shark brand.
