It seems that we will no longer see new smartphones with the BlackBerry logo. The company itself has long ceased their production, but sold the license.

Back in August 2020, Onward Mobility announced its intention to release new items from the Canadian brand. She promised new smartphones in 2021, but this did not happen. According to new data, it probably won't happen again.

The source says that Onward Mobility will not release any smartphone, as it is either closed or close to it. So far, there is no official confirmation on this. It is also worth noting that at the beginning of this year the company still announced itself, talking about the intention to release a smartphone with 5G, but for some reason did not mention the BlackBerry brand.

One way or another, probably, the market will not receive anything new. Whether anyone else will ever license the BlackBerry brand to bring it back to the smartphone market is impossible to say, but it may never happen.
