The Russian Haval plant in the Tula region, which has been operating in two shifts since September, reached its design capacity of 80,000 vehicles per year by the end of last year. Grigory Lavrukhin, Director General of the Tula Region Development Corporation, added that today the company employs more than 2,000 people.

Last year, Haval set an absolute sales record in the Russian market by selling 39,126 vehicles and demonstrating a 2.3-fold increase. The plant also arranged deliveries to Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Last year, 1561 cars were exported. In total, the plant produced 40,687 vehicles.

High performance became possible, among other things, due to the active increase in production at the plant in the Tula region. The activity of the enterprise is carried out in accordance with the strategic plan of the company to produce the volume of cars that is comparable to the annual level of sales. The production capacity of the Haval plant allows the brand to actively develop and set ambitious plans. One of the key aspects of the Haval strategy is the localization of production in the Tula region. The plant has already launched the production of updated Haval F7 crossovers and Haval F7x cross-coupe.

Grigory Lavrukhin added that the construction of plants for the production of auto components, which is being carried out in the Tula region, is planned to be completed in 2029. By this date, the level of localization of production should reach 70%.

The next new enterprise will be located on the territory of the existing brand plant in the Uzlovaya industrial park in the Tula region and will occupy an area of ​​​​more than 10 thousand square meters. The planned production capacity of the new engine plant will be 80,000 units per year. The plant will assemble engines for over 90% of Haval vehicles in Russia.
