Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22

During the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, the South Korean company introduced the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. The lineup includes three smartphones – Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ received identical design and specifications with some differences. The younger version is equipped with a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMLOED 2X display with FullHD + resolution and an adaptive refresh rate from 24 to 120 Hz. The older model received the same 6.6-inch larger display.

Smartphones are equipped with three cameras - the main 50 megapixel, ultra-wide-angle 12 megapixel and telephoto lens 10 megapixel with a triple optical zoom. The front camera is represented by a 10 MP sensor.

The flagship of the entire line in 2022 was the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, a smartphone that has adopted the best qualities of the Galaxy S series and the canceled Note. The smartphone received a square body, while the younger models are rounded. However, the S-Pen stylus has become a distinctive feature of the novelty - for the first time in Galaxy S smartphones.

In addition, the S22 Ultra received an enlarged 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD + resolution and support for adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra has more cameras - a 108-megapixel main, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and two 10-megapixel telephoto lenses with triple and 10x optical zoom. The smartphone also has a ToF sensor, which is responsible for laser autofocus. As a front camera in the older flagship of the line, a 40-megapixel sensor is installed.

All models are based on the proprietary Exynos 2200 chipset, made using a four-nanometer process technology. Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 will be offered with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of permanent memory. The S22 Ultra will also get an 8/128 version, but will also offer a 12/256 version and 12/512 GB of RAM and ROM, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra received 3700, 4500 and 5000 mAh batteries, with the latter two models supporting 45W fast charging. The basic version offers 25W charging. All three smartphones also offer wireless and reverse charging.

In Russia, the Samsung Galaxy S22 line was estimated at 80 thousand rubles, 95 thousand rubles. and 115 thousand rubles. for the minimum versions of S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, respectively. Smartphones are already available for pre-order. Sales will start on March 12th.
