Google One VPN now available on iOS

Google has announced the release of VPN for iOS. The VPN will also work in 10 new countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Russia is not on the list yet.

As with Android, the VPN will be available to Google One cloud service members with Premium plans (2TB and above) through the Google One app for iOS. In addition, members can share their plan and service with up to five family members at no additional charge, whether they use an Android or iOS phone.

Google also promises to expand the list of countries where the VPN will be available over time.

New features have been added to the Android service:

using the Internet only with activated VPN;

App Bypass: Allow certain apps to use a standard connection instead of a VPN;

temporarily disable VPN.

The company will continue to add additional security features to premium plans.

At the end of October 2020, Google introduced a VPN service for Android for Google One premium subscribers. The company stated that the service is activated for all Internet traffic on the device, and assured that it will not use this VPN connection to track, analyze, store or sell data on user activity on the Internet.
