Intel, where's the progress? Core i7-1280P (Alder Lake) graphics core demonstrates performance on par with Core i7-1195G7 GPUs

A mobile computer based on the Intel Core i7-1280P processor of the Alder Lake family lit up in the Geekbench database. This, recall, is the top model in its line, with 14 computing cores (6 high-performance and 8 energy efficient), with a frequency of up to 4.8 GHz, 24 MB of third-level cache and a GPU with 96 computing units and a frequency of 1.45 GHz.

The tested laptop used DDR5 RAM, which the GPU relies on, but neither the slightly higher frequency nor faster memory allowed the Core i7-1280P graphics to show any significant performance increase compared to the GPU of the previous generation of Intel's flagship - Core i7-1195G7 . It has a GPU with the same 96 compute units, but the frequency is lower (1.4 GHz), and the memory is DDR4.

If the GPU integrated in the Core i7-1280P received 19,500 points in the Geekbench OpenCL test, then the Core i7-1195G7 GPU in the same test has 19,483 points. We can say that there is no increase in terms of graphics at all. At least, judging by the tests of engineering samples of new generation laptops.
