Hasselblad camera no longer exclusive to OnePlus

First, there were rumors that the Hasselblad camera would appear in Oppo smartphones, then the renders of the Oppo Find X5 Pro, the company's new flagship, also indicated this. And now everything is officially confirmed: Oppo and Hasselblad have entered into a strategic partnership for a period of three years.

Interestingly, the document also refers to a specific line of Oppo smartphones - Find X. That is, as in the case of OnePlus, mid-range models will not receive a Hasselblad camera - it is reserved for the tops. Well, the first fruit of cooperation between the companies will be the Oppo Find X5 Pro, which is expected to premiere before the end of this month.

The official press release states that:

OPPO and Hasselblad will now develop advanced imaging solutions together as part of an R&D collaboration that aims to provide users with more natural colors and better images.

And then we are talking about the fact that everything will start with "improving the software." That is, all the hardware remains with Oppo, and Hasselblad specialists will be responsible, roughly speaking, for color reproduction in general and for the accuracy of skin tones in particular - this is the focus of the press release.

Recall that the Oppo Find X5 Pro will receive its own MariSilicon neural processor, which will be used for image processing. The smartphone will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system, but the series will also include a model on the SoC MediaTek Dimensity 9000.
