Ukrainian experts found the perpetrators of DDoS attacks on the Ministry of Defense and banks

The Center for Information Security of Ukraine did not rule out that Russia could be behind the DDoS attack on the websites of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces and several banks, TASS reports.

On February 15, the websites of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, as well as Privatbank and Oschadbank stopped working. According to Privatbank, technical problems arose in the authorization of clients, and when calling the contact center, an audio message is turned on about interruptions in the work of the organization due to "unstable operation of communication channels."

On the page of Oschadbank on Facebook, a message was published about failures in the operation of the mobile application and electronic services of the bank. What exactly caused the failure is not specified, however, specialists from both banks are already working on fixing the problems.

Prior to this, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, reported a DDoS attack on his official website, blaming Russian hackers for this. Also on the night of January 13-14, the work of the websites of the government of Ukraine, the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Veterans, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the State Treasury were blocked.
