Digital sustainability in the implementation of cloud solutions will be discussed at the international online training Cyber Polygon

The international online training Cyber Polygon 2022 on July 8 will be dedicated to digital sustainability in the cloud era. The training, organized by Sberbank and its digital risk management subsidiary BI.ZONE with the support of the World Economic Forum Cybersecurity Center and Interpol, will be held for the fourth time.

“Organizations around the world experience an acute shortage of competent cybersecurity experts, and the global staffing shortage in this area reaches several million specialized specialists. At the same time, cybercriminals regularly carry out more complex attacks, and the task of existing specialists is not to keep up with them, but to act ahead of the curve, constantly developing their skills. We understand how important it is to share skills and knowledge, raising the general level of qualifications of specialists around the world - for this we created Cyber Polygon, where professionals in this field can exchange experience and knowledge for the fourth year already, ”said Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank .

The event will consist of an online conference with the participation of top officials of global organizations, a technical cybersecurity training for corporate teams, as well as an expert track, which will feature leading experts in practical cybersecurity.

“Last year, the excitement around the training was so great that we accepted only a fifth of the willing organizations to participate. This year we are expanding the infrastructure of the training so that as many companies as possible can participate in it. Traditionally, the training will be free of charge, and its goal remains to strengthen cybersecurity at all levels,” said Dmitry Samartsev, director of BI.ZONE.

The speakers will discuss how companies can ensure business continuity and develop safely in the cloud era.

“Interpol has supported Cyber Polygon since the launch of the initiative in 2019. This partnership is in line with the goals of INTERPOL's global cybercrime strategy, in which we partner with 195 countries. I am confident that Cyber Polygon will help us all develop the flexibility and agility to respond to new threats in the era of the cloud,” said Craig Jones, Interpol’s director of cybercrime investigations.

Also during the training, participants will work out the actions of the response team during a targeted attack on the corporation's hybrid cloud infrastructure.

“Cyber Polygon is raising the awareness of organizations about cyber attacks in different sectors around the world. Every year the number and geography of training participants is growing rapidly, which indicates a global need for such initiatives. The organizers take into account the changes in the threat landscape, thinking through increasingly complex and large-scale tasks, and we look forward to the next event,” said Alexander Klimburg, head of the World Economic Forum’s Cyber Security Center.
