And now Mediatek has struck a second blow, already at the Snapdragon 888, which is used in the flagships of last year and will be used in the sub-flagships of this and next years for a long time: the Dimensity 8000 turned out to be faster than the Snapdragon 888.

The first Dimensity 8000 test in AnTuTu indicates that an engineering sample of a smartphone based on it is gaining 820,000 points. This is slightly more than Snapdragon 888 smartphones, which average about 800,000 points. It should also be noted that AnTuTu tested an engineering sample of the device on the Dimensity 8000. In the case of the Dimensity 9000, such a sample did not even have a cooling system, so a real smartphone on the Dimensity 8000 can be even faster.

The official premiere of the Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100 platforms is expected on the first of March. These SoCs are designed for mid-range smartphones. According to rumors, the first ready-made devices on the Dimensity 8000 will be presented by Realme and Redmi. In the second case, it will be Redmi K50 Pro and it is expected as early as March.
