The Russian online recruiting platform hh.ru handed over to the editors the results of the annual Rating of Russian Employers. In 2021, the total number of finalists in the Rating was 783 organizations, which is one and a half times more than in 2020. The top position of the list among companies with a staff of over 5 thousand people was headed by Sberbank. The list of the best employers in this category also includes ROSATOM, Gazprom Neft, Mars, Tinkoff, VTB, 2GIS, Bayer, Huawei, Okko and NVIDIA.

The rating is formed on the basis of a tripartite analysis:

40% of the assessment - the willingness of employees to recommend the company as an employer;

40% of the assessment - the desire of hh.ru applicants to work in the company;

20% of the evaluation is the data of the company's HR specialists, on the basis of which its HR function is evaluated. The companies in the Rating are divided into headcount categories.

Based on the results of the analysis, companies are awarded points, the number of which affects the final positions in the rating and sub-ratings in the leaderboards for the most highly developed HR processes, employee loyalty and rating among applicants. As hh.ru points out, false information in the questionnaire, pressure on employees, cheating votes and other unethical methods threaten companies with disqualification.

Sberbank, ROSATOM, and Gazprom Neft have been leading companies with over 5,000 employees for several years now. In 2020, ROSATOM took the first place, in 2021 - SberBank. hh.ru noted that the banking sector has made significant strides forward in the field of HR, which is noticeable by the inclusion of four companies from the banking sector at once.

For companies with less than 5 thousand people, their own ratings have been compiled. For example, in the category from 1001 to 5000 people, 2GIS, Bayer and Huawei are in the lead. The Zarubezhneft company was distinguished by the fact that in just one year it jumped from 39th to 4th place in the Rating. A newcomer to the top 10 was the Russian News Agency TASS, which took 9th place.

Okko, NVIDIA and IVI are leaders in the category with the number of employees from 251 to 1000 people. The top ten included a regional business representative - the 1C-Bitrix company with its head office in Kaliningrad, which took 9th place.

In the ranking of companies with a staff of 101 to 250 people, you can meet companies from different Russian regions: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Rostov, Tyumen, Voronezh regions and the Republic of Karelia. As hh.ru notes, regional companies come out of the shadows and not only follow HR trends, but also set them themselves. The top 10 includes GREEN, Phoenix and Citilink, which in 2020 did not even make it into the top 30. The leading positions were taken by GREEN, SKA Hockey Club and DeLonghi LLC.

Sub-rating data

The following is a ranking of companies based on data on the level of HR processes. hh.ru indicated that in the top ten are companies that actively present their best practices at HR conferences. Points are awarded based on how HR specialists automatically fill out a professional questionnaire, where there are questions about what tasks the HR department in the company solves, how performance is assessed, what are the expectations of the business, what are the strategies for hiring, training, staff development and whether they exist at all. The leaders of the Rating are ROSATOM, Rostelecom and NLMK Group.

Employee loyalty data is obtained through an anonymous survey eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score). To avoid unfair voting and control the exact number of respondents, each participant in the assessment receives an individual link to the online survey. According to the data received, employees speak best of Usetech, Kamsky Kabel and Zemlyanskmoloko.

The rating of companies among applicants was formed from the results of voting among users registered on hh.ru. The opinion of applicants could be influenced by positive feedback from former and current employees, opinions of people from close circle, positive experience of interaction with the company (client and “candidate”), publications in the media or social networks, and other factors. Gazprom Neft, kSberBank and ROSATOM are leaders in this list.
