Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new home charger for plug-in hybrid and all-electric models.

The new wall charger allows you to start and stop the charging process through the Mercedes me app and also allows you to monitor the current charging situation and history using the software. In addition, the device will be updated with firmware that will add new features.

The wall charger has a capacity of 22 kW, but depending on regulations, the charging capacity will be reduced to 11 kW in some markets. The device is designed not only for Mercedes-Benz cars, it allows you to charge cars of other brands.

This Mercedes-Benz charger will be launched in Europe, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Mexico and other markets. In China, the listed price is $1,125.

Interestingly, the Chinese company Nio recently released similar 7kW and 11kW chargers priced at $1,180 and $1,540 respectively.
