Russia - Number of calls to the 122 service decreased by 23% in a week

Russia (bbabo.net), - The number of calls to the call centers of service 122, which advises citizens on coronavirus issues, has decreased by 23%. This was told by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.

According to him, the total number of calls last week amounted to about 3.6 million across the country.

"Due to the involvement of volunteers and medical students, the staffing of service 122 in the whole country has increased by 31%. According to the ONF, 2,800 WeVmeste volunteers are now working in call centers, and over 12,000 in medical institutions. Additional involvement of operators has allowed reduce the waiting time for a response, which means helping our citizens more quickly," the Deputy Prime Minister added.

Dmitry Chernyshenko also noted that in 62 regions of Russia, elements of artificial intelligence are used in the work of a single service 122 - voice virtual online consultants, chat bots or an interactive voice menu.

The unified service 122 was created in November 2020 and provides routing of calls to medical facilities, ambulance services, and also advises citizens on COVID-19 issues.
