Embracer Group published a report for the quarter ended in December last year. As follows from the document, there are more than two hundred games in the development of the holding, 25 of which are high-budget.

The holding notes an increase in revenue compared to the same period last year by 135%, operating profit - by 86%. Growth was driven primarily by mobile games, as well as Hot Wheels Unleashed, Valheim and Deep Rock Galactic.

Major well-known titles have also contributed. So, Metro Exodus reached 6 million sales in a quarter, sales of Borderlands 3 exceeded 15 million copies.

Today Embracer Group is developing 216 game projects, 25 of them are AAA games, or high-budget ones. It is planned that most of them will be released before March 2026. The number of developers involved in the projects of the holding exceeded 7 thousand people.

During the Embracer Group presentation, the presenter mentioned these rumors. The representative of the holding neither denied nor confirmed them.

“I can't talk about Dead Island 2 because the publisher hasn't announced it yet. But we have one unannounced AAA project. It is difficult for me to comment on this issue further, ”said the representative.

The year 2022 for the Embracer Group will be marked by two more major deals that were announced at the end of last year. Thus, the holding plans to acquire Dark Horse comic book publishing company and Perfect World Entertainment, the publisher of Cryptic Studios, Remnant: From the Ashes and Torchlight games. The acquisition will cost the holding $125 million, the amount of the transaction with Dark Horse is not disclosed.
