The first smartphone with a 35mm lens, f/1.6, Sony IMX787 and magnetic charging will also be the first to receive MyOS 12

ZTE Nubia has just introduced new smartphones for the gaming segment, dubbed the Red Magic 7 series. Now the company is preparing to introduce the new "regular" flagship smartphones of the Nubia Z40 series. The company is constantly teasing smartphones to keep up the hype around them. They're going to be some really impressive flagship smartphones, but the Nubia Z40 Pro certainly holds up to the competition.

ZTE today confirmed that the Nubia Z40 Pro will be the company's first MyOS 12 skin. It will also be present on ZTE smartphones based on Android 12.

MyOS 12 will get a new user interface, animations and improved security. The Weibo teaser post currently only mentions "Personalized Desktop + Climber Lock Screen + Lingxi Motion Engine + Privacy Protection" as new features.

The presentation of Nubia Z40 Pro is scheduled for February 25th. A second teaser released by the company calls MyOS 12 a "breakthrough in full screen."

Nubia Z40 Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system and a 1/1.3-inch optical Sony IMX787 image sensor with a 35mm f/1.6 lens. In addition, the camera will receive optical image stabilization and omnidirectional autofocus. The camera will reduce image distortion by 35%, collect 80% more light and improve image clarity by 78% compared to its predecessor.
