Trump's media company signs an agreement with the Rumble video platform

Former US President Donald Trump's Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has announced a partnership with Canadian online platform Rumble. The site will provide video streaming for the yet-to-be-launched Truth Social network.

Rumble was founded by entrepreneur Chris Pavlovsky in 2013 as an alternative to YouTube. The site is popular with US conservatives. In early December, Rumble announced that it would become a public company following its merger with CF Acquisition Corp VI. Pavlovski calls the Rumble amplification a serious game against big tech companies.

Trump says Rumble Cloud will become an important part of TMTG infrastructure. The service will provide the media company with technology and cloud services. In particular, Rumble will provide its solutions for the streaming service TMTG +, which positions itself as a direct competitor to Disney +, Netflix and Hulu. The platform will feature news and entertainment content.

In October, Trump announced the creation of the Truth Social social network, which should compete with the largest platforms where the former president was banned after the storming of the Capitol. According to the politician, the platform will be an alternative to the "liberal media consortium." The social network will be launched in the first half of 2022.

At the beginning of this month, TMTG managed to attract more than $ 1 billion in investments. Trump said this is a signal for big tech companies that political discrimination and censorship must end.

Later, TMTG announced that Congressman Devin Nunez would become its executive director. In 2017, Nunez refused to investigate Trump's ties to Russia. The former president left the US Congress after 19 years to work for a media company. He will take up his duties at TMTG in January 2022.
