Huawei Mate 50 with Harmony OS 3.0 and top-end camera will be released in July

Chinese and sources say that the Huawei Mate 50 series will be launched based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system, but will not receive a 5G modem due to ongoing US sanctions.

Huawei Mate 50 cameras are also reported to be improved compared to the Huawei P50 series, but revolutionary changes should not be expected. The Huawei Mate 50 cameras will be on par with other flagships coming out this year.

As for when the Huawei Mate 50 series will be presented, the source claims that the manufacturer will arrange a corresponding presentation in mid or late July.

Huawei Mate 50 will run the Harmony operating system. Earlier news indicated that Harmony OS 3.0 would be released around July. So it is possible that the smartphone will receive the latest version of the operating system.

Weibo reports that beta testing of Harmony OS 3.0 will begin in March.
