Moto Edge 30 Pro - the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone - went on sale outside of China with a huge rise in price

The Moto Edge X30 is the world's first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC smartphone and was announced in China on December 9, 2021. Today the device is presented on the global market. True, having received a global residence permit, the smartphone changed its name: in the USA it is called Moto Edge Plus, and in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa - Moto Edge 30 Pro.

In India, for the Moto Edge 30 Pro in the 8/128 GB version, they ask for the equivalent of $ 670, in the USA - $ 1,000 (for the 12/512 GB version), in Europe - 800 euros (for the 12/256 GB version). For comparison, the cost of the base Chinese Moto Edge X30 with the same memory capacities as the Indian one is only $470.

The smartphone configuration includes a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of Full HD + and a frame rate of 144 Hz, a main camera with sensors with a resolution of 50 (with OIS), 50 and 2 MP, a 60-megapixel front camera, a battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh with 68W fast charging support. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro is IP52 dust and water resistant, has stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and supports 15W wireless charging. The thickness of the smartphone is 8.79 mm, weight – 196 grams.
