The growing risks of cyber attacks on Russia will have a positive impact on the revenue of Russian companies in the field of information security. This was announced by Pavel Korostelev, head of the department for promoting products of the Security Code company.

“Obviously, this happened, for example, after 2014, when, in particular, the Security Code recorded a significant increase in revenue. So she will grow up this time too. But we do not know how sustainable this growth will be,” the expert said.

Problems with the supply of components due to sanctions may limit the growth in income. According to Korostelev, interim conclusions about the impact of growing cyber threats on the financial performance of Russian information security companies can be made at least in a couple of months.

“The issue is complex, and so far there is no exact understanding on it for one simple reason - the information security market has already been largely replaced by imports. At least in the largest segments, it was Russian means of protection that prevailed. On the other hand, it is obvious that the percentage of import substitution will still grow,” Korostelev said.

The National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents (NCCI) of the Russian Federation previously warned about the growing cyber threats to the country. The NBC publication reported on the preparation by the US intelligence services of a series of cyber attacks in Russia.
