In Ukraine, Google blocked the RT app

Google has banned downloading the RT app in Ukraine, TASS reports with reference to the media resource's Telegram channel.

This decision was made at the request of the Ukrainian authorities.

"As requested, the app will not be available for download on Google Play in Ukraine," Google support said.

Previously, Google banned Russian state media from monetizing traffic. In turn, YouTube also disabled the monetization of RT channels. Youtube video hosting is owned by Google Corporation.
