The state corporation "Roskosmos" has denied information that millions of rubles were spent on the banquet timed to coincide with the presentation of the Yuri Gagarin prize, RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that earlier information appeared in one of the Telegram channels that Roskosmos allegedly spent almost six million rubles to organize this banquet. It was reported that in total there were 150 guests at the banquet - spending on each of them amounted to 40 thousand rubles.

“No matter how much anonymous authors, who may be able to gorge themselves on 6 million, would like, but the government award winners eat much more modestly,” the corporation said.

They clarified that in total they spent a little more than 500 thousand rubles on drinks and food - of which 495 thousand 122 rubles for catering and meals, another 6 thousand 450 rubles - for bottled drinking water.

The rest of the funds were paid for the search and preparation of the premises for the ceremony, installation / dismantling of a stage with a screen and sound and light equipment, as well as stage structures and technical equipment.

In addition, funds were needed for a 120 kW generator, delivery and installation of furniture - a total of 150 chairs and ten armchairs. Part of the funds was spent on the development of an art program, the creation of videos about the laureates of the award, videos for the opening and closing of the ceremony.
