At the Army-2022 forum, the Ural company for the first time presented a prototype of the Ural unmanned military truck, the first for the Russian Armed Forces. The experimental sample is completely devoid of a cabin and controls for a person.
The developers explained that the car is equipped with a computer vision system and has already passed a number of preliminary tests. Presumably, the unmanned Ural will be controlled both using a remote control and in a completely autonomous mode.
The company clarified that such a vehicle can be used for Russian troops to transport goods in dangerous areas, for example, on the front line.
The presented sample is made in two-color camouflage (military and civilian), that is, in the future the car can be used for a variety of tasks.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian heavy-duty truck Ural Next could become unmanned.
