The Wildberries online retailer has filed an application with Rospatent for the registration of the Yagodki trademark. This was reported in the company itself.

"The purpose of registering a trademark is to assign it to the company in order to avoid use by unauthorized persons," the press service commented.

Recall that on August 15 in the afternoon, the Wildberries marketplace website changed its name to Berries. Later, the company said that the new site name was part of a marketing campaign, the company did not confirm or deny the fact of changing the site name on an ongoing basis. Already on August 16, the site began to be called as before.

Earlier, the head of the company, Tatyana Bakalchuk, in response to the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister of Industry Denis Manturov on the Russification of foreign names, promised to consider this issue.
