Togliatti State University (TSU) will develop an autonomous vehicle for automotive enterprises. It should become a full-fledged replacement for imported analogues used today at enterprises. The development will be invested by the non-profit organization Innovation Fund of the Samara Region (IIF SO) and LLC Lada Innovation.
An autonomous vehicle (AGV - Automated Guided Vehicle) has the functions of transporting goods between assembly points and, according to the project, is intended for assembly areas at automotive enterprises.
The functionality of the module is much wider. Our AGV is capable of warehousing and manufacturing logistics, can be used to transport a variety of goods, such as luggage at airports, medicines and equipment in hospitals, and much more.

Before submitting their project for the competition, the TSU development team carried out preparatory work with potential customers: AvtoVAZ, UAZ, Sollers Ford, AURUS, after which the experts came to the conclusion that such a market exists and manufacturers have a need.
The project will be based on solutions that meet the technical requirements of industrial enterprises. These are, in particular, the requirements for safety, operating time, noise immunity, navigation and control systems.
The module works without the participation of a driver or operator: the orientation of the AGV in space will be provided by a laser scanner and special software. This allows you to increase the safety of production, speed up and reduce the cost of production processes.
