Nvidia introduced the GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080 graphics cards - prices and specifications

NVidia held a presentation at which it introduced the first models of GeForce RTX 4000 video cards with Ada Lovelace GPU, and also showed DLSS 3.0 anti-aliasing technology.

The Ada Lovelace architecture includes up to a maximum of 76 billion transistors and up to 18,000 CUDA cores. At the same time, the performance of such a GPU reaches 90 Tflops. These chips are used in the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards.

The older model RTX 4090 has the following specifications:

Number of CUDA cores: 16384

Base clock: 2.23 GHz

Boost Clock: 2.52 GHz

Video Memory: 24 GB GDDR6X

Bus width: 384 bits

Dimensions: 304x137 mm

Power consumption: 450W

Speed - 2-4 times faster than 3090 Ti depending on the task.

The price is 1599 dollars.

The start of sales is October 12th.

The RTX 4080 comes in two flavors:

Number of CUDA cores: 9728 (7680 for 12 GB model)

Base clock: 2.21 GHz

Boosted clock speed: 2.51 GHz (2.61 GHz for 12 GB model)

Video Memory: 16/12 GB GDDR6X

Bus width: 256-bit (192-bit for 12 GB model)

Power consumption: 320 W

Speed - 2-4 times faster than 3080 Ti depending on the task.

The price is 899 or 1199 dollars depending on the amount of memory.

These graphics cards use 3rd generation RT cores and 4th generation tensor cores.

DLSS 3.0 is an improved version of upscaping that can work not with individual pixels, but with entire frames. It improves gaming performance up to 4 times.
