In the Lipetsk region, the production of electric vehicles was opened at the Motorinvest plant. The first model to roll off the assembly line was the Evolute I-Pro sedan, TASS reports.
Before the end of the year, the I-Joy crossover and the Evolute I-Van minivan will appear in the Evolute line, and the I-Jet cross-coupe will be released in 2023. By the end of 2022, the company intends to produce 2,000 electric vehicles.
“The maximum productivity of the plant exceeds 100,000 electric vehicles per year – for painting production. For the Lipetsk region, the enterprise will become one of the largest employers in the region, more than 2,000 new employees will be involved in production,” the enterprise reports.
The Evolute I-Pro electric car received a battery with a capacity of 53 kW. The power reserve is 420 km, the power of the electric motor is 150 horsepower. Official dealers will begin accepting orders for the I-Pro in October this year.
Evolute electric cars are included in the program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for preferential car loans. The cost of the model, taking into account subsidies, will be ₽2.065 million. Electric cars can be bought in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Sochi.
